Based in Cohasset, known across the island of Nantucket, and working internationally, Brian Sager creates images with lasting impact. With a portfolio spanning luxury weddings, portraiture, commercial shoots, and fine art photography, Brian calls on his personability, editorial eye, and deep understanding of the photography medium to create beautiful, timeless work for his clients.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Brian is captivated by the intrinsic psychology behind photography. He is intrigued not only by the way our minds react to visual stimuli but also by the inherent ability of photographs to evoke deep connections and emotions. With this power in mind, Brian crafts poignant visual narratives employing meticulously refined stylistic techniques. Infusing his expertise in editorial photography, he seamlessly blends an editorial standpoint with an authentic, candid approach to narrate his clients’ unique stories.

Brian is most at home when near or surrounded by water. Growing up spending every weekend on or in the ocean, it was only natural that a love of ocean and sailing photography would emerge. Brian’s fine art photography focuses on nautical nuance and uses light to highlight otherwise underappreciated details. With a lifetime of sailing experience and more than 10,000 miles of offshore sailing under his belt, Brian photographs many of his fine art pieces while aboard sailboats in New England and the Caribbean.

Brian’s fine art photography is frequently exhibited in galleries on Nantucket and is currently on display in the Thomas Macy Gallery & Cecelia Joyce & Seward Johnson Gallery. Recent notable fine art commissions include a 20 x 10 foot wall-sized image for the Nantucket Cottage Hospital’s new dining hall, custom large acrylic prints for the Nantucket Community Music Center, and a complete art installation for Specialty Surgeons of Connecticut.

Brian enthusiastically supports several charities and nonprofit organizations through the donation of fine art photographs. He has been involved with the Nantucket Golf Club Children’s Charity Auction, Artists Association of Nantucket’s gala auctions, Habitat for Humanity, Boston Children’s Hospital, Team IMPACT, and NAMI/Dragonfly Nantucket to name a few. Brian opened his first brick & mortar showroom, Sager Fine Art, in Cohasset, MA in 2021.
